Before the first game of the tournament, Mr Ivan Rakovic, an International water polo referee, explained the new rules and regulations of water polo in the Olympic Swimming Pool of Nicosia press room. The seminar that was under the auspices of the World Water Polo Referee's Association, was addressed to referees, coaches, athletes and club executives. The room was full of people who showed great interest and asked many question to Mr Rakovic who answered thoroughly and explained the new rules in theory and with video presentations as well.
